Job Title: Refugee School Impact Grant - Teacher - Summer Camp (Part Time) Reports to: Director of English Language Development SUMMARY: The Harrisburg City School District is expanding on the opportunities to provide after school programs to Refugee families. Refugee School Impact Grant (RSIG) project is an innovative program of learning opportunities. The purpose of the program is to provide afterschool Wednesdays for Refugee children and families to experience and participate in STEAM and Mindfulness activities to close’ academic and emotional gap caused by breaks in educational services and family stability. In addition to, 6 week summer camps Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday focused on STEAM and Mindfulness. Explicitly teach coping skills to manage the impact and effects of traumatic events. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES: The Teacher delivers instruction and conducts activities with students and parents using the STEAM and Mindfulness curriculum resources. Responsible for teaching and learning of students in the program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. This position will be based out of the Harrisburg School District Office but travel to local partners and satellite sites is expected. SALARY: Established hourly rate for extra compensation as outlined in the HEA Agreement. Not to exceed 125 hours in the grant year.
