
There is a high demand to reduce test length, saving student and seat time. This project will investigate different scoring and equating methods (Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory) for shortened tests.
Interns will participate in analyses of real or simulated data in areas such as equating, computer-based testing, validity, reliability, test theory, and score reporting.Psychometric and statistical interns will participate in analyses of simulated data in areas such as scaling, IRT calibrations and scoring.
To qualify, candidates must be doctoral students currently enrolled in measurement, statistics, educational and/or quantitative psychology or related programs. Candidates with knowledge and research in IRT parameter estimation, equating, and scaling, along with experience in computer programming skills (R or SAS) and good professional writing skills are preferred. Finalist(s) for this position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background check as a condition of employment.
