FTE: 1.0

Salary Range: $102,685 - $125,771


This is a temporary position. 1 to 2 year position.

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Assigned to a central office position at the same level as a Principal but assumes responsibilities that are of a different assignment. For a one year term, this role supports a department/division with an organizational project initiative.


- Leads one to two dedicated projects in partnership with the assigned department and/or the School's Division that are determined based on the immediate needs and priorities of the District; supports and task-manages multiple design processes.

- Represents the division as a whole by providing principal voice on key district initiatives and strategies; participates in district planning and advisory committees and dedicates time to developing strategies, processes, and tools to support implementation of priorities.

- Designs and creates integrated systems and processes that drive ongoing improvements to meet both strategic and tactical goals.

- Creates and builds collaborative relationships and proactive communication channels between the District, functions, departments and external stakeholders.

- Develops leadership across functions and teams; coaches and supports school leaders, Instructional Leadership Teams (ILTs) and regional leadership teams through project implementation.

- Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, Board of Education policies and regulations.


Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Three (3) or more years of management responsibility experience

- Four (4) or more years experience as a school leader serving high needs students.

- Experience designing and developing adult professional learning and coaching

- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

- Experience in analyzing data, and using this data to for process and program improvements and to inform strategy.

- Outstanding facilitation and communication skills, including ability to inspire others.

- Ability to recognize and resolve conflicts or potentially controversial situations through diplomacy.

- Superior leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all different levels in the organization.

- Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.

- Strategic planning and organizational development knowledge and skills.

- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish priorities, and organize resources.

- Demonstrated knowledge of District Human Resources and other departmental policies.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs. Google Sheets, Google Slides.


Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree required.
