The EHR Specialist III assists the EHR Manager & Data Integrity Team Lead in supporting the Health Information Services mission of ensuring the integrity, security, access, and accuracy of the electronic health record. Ensuring data Integrity is a vital component of protecting the legal medical record. This position serves as a subject matter expert for complex EHR issues and processes, including technical functionality and user workflows. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of clinical and/or revenue cycle domains and possess the written and verbal communication skills to interact with others in a customer-service and professional manner. Additional Job Description
Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Registry &/or Certifications)
Associate degree or higher preferred, with 7 years of experience in healthcare, legal/ risk, or the insurance industry, including at least 5 years’ experience in a health information management type setting. Demonstrated proficiency using computers in a workplace setting. Must be detail-oriented & able to work effectively with complex stakeholders. RHIA, RHIT, and/or PM certification preferred.
Skills include ability to problem-solve complex EHR, chart correction, and/or Identity issues and the ability to represent the department with professionalism and a customer-focused approach.
