Traditional 235 work days per year

FTE: 1.0

Salary Range: $111,335 - $136,363

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Responsible for setting the vision for research, evaluation and strategic analytics work throughout the district, and ensuring the team’s products and services are high quality and impactful, in order to drive district and school improvement towards meeting the district’s goals.


- Identifies and prioritizes the district’s research and evaluation agenda by collecting input from district leaders and aligning to district priorities, based on national research and trends.

- Collaborates with others to ensure research and evaluation projects are streamlined and coherent.

- Builds and fosters a cohesive, collaborative, and motivating team culture.

- Delivers clear and concise presentations and recommendations to the district leadership team and Board of Education based on research and evaluation results.

- Develop and maintain project plans to track progress on key milestones and implement efficiency improvements.

- Represents the district in regional and national educational research groups and liaising with other districts' and universities’ research and evaluation departments.

- Develops partnerships with outside researchers to advance the district's research agenda.

- Collaborates with the Director of Assessment, Director of Reporting and Accountability, and other staff to provide seamless support to schools.


Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Five (5) or more years of related experience is required.

- Three (3) or more years of management responsibility experience is required.

- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

- Experience in analyzing data, and using this data to for process and program improvements and to inform strategy.

- Outstanding facilitation and communication skills, including ability to inspire others.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.

- Superior leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all different levels in the organization.

- Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.

- Strategic planning and organizational development knowledge and skills.

- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish priorities, and organize resources.

- Ability to motivate and influence others.

- Experience in K-12 education is preferred.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.



Education Requirements:

- Master's Degree in Education or other related field (e.g. sociology, psychology, economics, policy) is required.
