Occ Summary

Independently plan and provide professional nuedpolicies andprocedures. Provide nursing services to patients and fa milies inaccordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Car olicare based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs and response tocare.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unocedures. Use professional nursingjudgment to individualize the plan o frsing care for patients inaccordance with physician orders and establishnaBoard of Nursing.Nurses hired into this limited benefited classificat ionwill commit towork a minimum number of hours in adesignated inpatient nursingdepartment. Compensation is a flat rate that is based on years of experience.


Work Performed

Plan, provide, supervise a nd document professional nursing careutilizing the nursing process for p atients in accordance with physicianorders and established policies andp rlicensed care providers.Assist other nursing personnel in the deliveryo fnursing care and actas team leader or charge nurse for a group of patie nts or an entire unitas assigned.Monitor and initiate corrective actiont o maintain the environment ofcare including equipment and material resou rces.Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriateassistan ce or educational offerings.Act as preceptor and support the development of other staff and formallearners.Participate in the identificationofcl inical or operational performanceimprovement opportunities and inperform ance improvement activities.Perform other related duties incidental toth e work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications


Education

Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.


Experience

2 years of appropriate clinical experience required


Degrees, Licensures, Certifications

Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
