VCU Health System\'s Neurosurgery department is recruiting for a part time, benefited Care Partner position. The chief objective of this position is to provide direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the RN or licensed independent practitioner. Ability to work a "Rotating" shift requored.

Applicant Qualifications include the following:

Education/training REQUIRED:

  • Completion of state recognized CNA program; OR
  • Completion of first semester junior year in a BSN program dependent upon school curriculum. VCU/MCV BSN students: completion of sophomore year, Nursing 201, 202, 261. Associate Degree and Diploma programs: completion of first year or a minimum of two semesters of basic nursing courses. Specialty areas e.g. pediatrics, women`s health, psychiatry may require completion of a clinical rotation in that area; OR
  • Completion of EMT program; OR
  • Completion of medical assistant program

Level and type of experience PREFERRED:

  • Acute care experience as a nursing assistant or aide experience
