It’s in You
Shonda Rhimes states, “I think a lot of people dream. And while they are busy dreaming, the really happy people, the really successful people, the really interesting, powerful, engaged people? Are busy doing.”
You might ask, “busy doing what?”
That is when you know if you have IT.
How do you know if it’s in you? That’s a simple question. IT is the drive, confidence, and focus sprinkled with a bit of magic and knowhow that’s innate; it lies within you, it’s up to you to make sure it becomes an external IT.
IT pushes you out of bed in the morning because you know you must show up!
IT pulls you when you aren’t sure what direction to go while on your journey.
IT tells you to obtain your GED, Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate.
IT tells you you are interesting, a trailblazer, a mover a shaker in your craft or talent.
IT tells you not to take no for an answer when chasing after your dreams.
IT is an army rooting for you when no one else is. IT is effective, affective, and rigid at the same time. IT is oxymoronic. IT can be a great experience and a scary experience at the same time, but IT drives you to success and tells you to try new things. IT cheers for you, chases you and shakes you when you get off track.
IT is appealing, accomplishing, attractive and awesome. Do you understand what this IT is? IT is handsome, gorgeous, and honest, innovative, masterful and miraculous.
Your next is all up to you. Your next IT’S in you!
There are 4 ways to determine if IT is in you.
- When you hear a NO about something you really want, you turn the NO into a YES! You try to figure out how to get a yes. “Be your own narrator. And go for a happy ending. One foot in front of the other. You will make it.” – Shonda Rhimes
- When you prepare for what’s to come. “Before anything else, preparation is the key to success.” – Alexander Graham Bell
- Celebrating small successes. “It’s not your circumstances or situation, that determines if you are going to be successful or not. I’ve been telling you it’s your mindset! It’s the way you see it. It’s the way you think it right!” – Eric Thomas
- Accept failures and learn from them. “Failure is a great teacher and, if you are open to it, every mistake has a lesson to offer.” -Oprah Winfrey
Can you see it? It’s in you.
