Job Description:

SUMMARY
Coordinates the activities and functions of designated programs. Analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objectives for the program are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications.

 

The Senior Program Coordinator will participate in all aspects of the fiscal, program planning and management activities associated with the Community Transition Programs.  The position will work collaboratively with all TUSD schools, departments and programs to ensure the delivery of transition services to students and their families.  In addition, the position will represent TUSD and collaboratively work with Rehabilitation Services Administration/Vocational Rehabilitation (RSA/VR), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Behavioral Health, private and public agencies, and local businesses to deliver transition services to students.  The position is responsible to collect and report student and fiscal data. The Senior Coordinator will supervise and assist with the development of the budget, writing of continuation applications for funding, collecting and reporting student data, communicating regularly with school district administrators and individual school administration(s) concerning the status of the program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree   AND
Two years of experience administering or coordinating programs
OR
Bachelor’s Degree   AND
Five years of experience administering or coordinating programs
OR
Ten Years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs.
PLUS
Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program is required.
Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
Three (3) years Supervisory Experience
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

Exceptional Education Certification is required

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
