Summary: The Portfolio Manager will provide leadership, planning, and coordination to the internal evaluation systems for district schools inclusive of district authorized charter schools. Responsibilities include the collection, tracking and analysis of data to support district and school level needs assessments, the implementation of high quality and innovative academic programming, and high stakes accountability decisions to increase access to high quality academic programming across the district.
 
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates with district departments (such as Magnet and Specialized Programs, Innovation Network Student Assignment Analysis, Information Technology, Finance and Business Operations, General counsel, etc.) to ensure high quality academic programing decisions are made in the best interest of all district students.
Supports the Superintendent and Senior Cabinet Level Staff in the charter school application process; charter approval and renewal/non-renewal processes; annual review of charter schools; and prepares related documents for staff and public reporting.
Implements an internal evaluation plan for schools in accordance with state policy bulletin requirements
Coordinates data collection and reporting school accountability and program evaluation
Organizes and supports school-site visiting teams for district schools to share evidence based practices across the district
Facilitates regularly scheduled face-to-face meetings and establishes multiple modes of two way communication with schools for collaboration across the district
Collaborates with other members of the accountability department and performs analysis of data in response to specific inquires to ensure the most up to date information is being used to support academic programming and school improvement efforts across the district’s portfolio of schools
Designs and produces reports related to enrollment, demographics, assessments and other achievement data for all district schools
Conducts detailed systems analysis of multiple sources of data for the purpose of district level improvement, planning and program evaluation
Aligns portfolio management initiatives to the district’s strategic plan, state approved improvement plans for identified schools, state policy bulletins and applicable laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in supervision or related field. Possess a Master’s and/or Advanced Degree in educational leadership. Graduate study in curriculum development, supervision, and administration preferred. Experience in evaluation, research, statistical analysis and/or fields related to school improvement is also preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience and experience in supervising instruction required.
