SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement.  Understand and appreciate diversity.  Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction.  Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Elementary Certificate with Math Approved Area or MS Math Approved Area 
OR
Arizona Secondary Certificate with Math Approved Area or MS Math Approved Area
OR
Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with Math Approved Area
AND
CURRENT Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement  

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED UPON HIRE:
Provide proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION -Secrist Middle School - Golf Links & Harrison Area
9.5 Months
1.0 FTE - 7.50 hours/day

This position may also be eligible for a one-time $5,000.00 stipend for new to District teachers.  Hard to fill position- MS Math Teacher.

Temporary Contracts are issued after Labor Day and/or for vacancies of .6 FTE or less for the remainder of the school year only.  Temporary Contracts may be eligible for conversion.

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
