Job Description:

VCU Health System's Ambulatory Operating Room is seeking a Part Time - Program Support Assistant

Responsibilities

Provides quality customer service to patients of all ages, their families, visitors, medical staff, clinicians and co-workers ensuring that everyone is treated courteously, quickly and with respect. To handle all business functions in Perioperative Surgical Services which may include a combination of functions including reception; communication; patient registration; scheduling surgeries, database, EMR maintenance and inform patient of provider delays.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of two (2) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting

Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring

CPR

Preferred

Three (3) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting

Previous experience in an academic health care setting

Post high school education in healthcare or business related course work
