General Statement of Duties
The duties of the head step team coach, include choreographing routines, leading practices, providing mentorship, collaborating with administrators, ensuring safety, managing tasks, and fostering a positive team environment.
Essential Duties
The duties of a Head Step Team Coach include:
- Choreographing and coordinating step routines for performances and competitions.
- Leading and organizing team practices and rehearsals.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Collaborating with school administrators and coordinating team performances.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the step team members during practices and performances.
- Managing administrative tasks such as budgeting, event coordination, and logistics.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive team environment for all members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Qualifications include previous experience in coaching or choreographing dance or step routines.
- Prior coaching experience with evidence of strong communication and leadership skills, knowledge of step dance techniques and traditions, and the ability to work well with high school students.
- A background in dance, performing arts preferred
