Location: 2800 W 7th Ave

Work Year: Temporary Hourly, not benefits eligible

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Season: Approximately April 30 - October 31, can vary based on department needs and student school schedules

FTE: 1.0

Salary Range: Starting at $19.00 per hour

About this job:


Working under the supervision of the Operations Department Manager or designee(s), the employee performs routine maintenance tasks.

What You'll Do:

  • Use of riding mower, truck and trailer combination, string trimmer, edger, blower, hand tools, and powered hand tools.
  • Trim/prune trees and shrubs.
  • Assist in material delivery (mulch and other landscaping materials), aeration, fertilization, and weed spraying operations.
  • Conduct basic irrigation checks and repairs.
  • Weed control.
  • Routine equipment maintenance at the user level

What You’ll Need:

  • Ability to perform manual labor.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Prior experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in environments that may contain allergens such as pollen, dust, grass, etc.
  • Able to lift at least 75 pounds, using appropriate lifting techniques.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
