Blanchard is a K6 school. The Principal is supported by a full-time Assistant Principal, and a Special Education Coordinator, Literacy Coach, and STEAM Coach who are shared with another school. The students from ABRSD’s six elementary schools come together at the R.J. Grey Jr. High School and then the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. Principals collaborate with a shared vision across all schools. Priorities include student equity and inclusion, social emotional learning, and furthering efforts to fully implement a multi-tiered system of supports.

You understand our students and staff as unique individuals with their own hopes, dreams and feelings. You know how to connect with people and make them feel valued, heard and seen. Your attention to detail and ability to thoughtfully prioritize allows you to lead long term initiatives while responding to and planning for daily operations of the school environment. You can prioritize and share responsibilities to allow you to focus on instructional priorities. You model perseverance with a sense of optimism, strong problem solving skills, and desire to learn and grow.

You are an effective communicator. You have a proven track record of clear and transparent communication. You communicate clearly to help groups move from ideas to action when necessary. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience in multiple communication modes with a variety of stakeholders including community, school committee, administration and staff.
Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience teaching and/or leading in a school setting

  • Certification as an elementary school principal
  • Master’s Degree or higher
  • Strong competency within Google Workspace suite, Microsoft Office suite, Zoom and other industry standard software applications
  • Flexibility with work schedule as events and initiatives may require

Compensation

This is a 12-month, benefits-eligible position. Salary range is $140,000 - $155,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
