General Statement of Duties
Preschool Enrichment Teacher to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of Henrico Public Schools preschool students

Essential Duties
Plans daily activities for preschoolers that foster movement, wellness, exploration, and creativity for students using evidence-based strategies at multiple locations
Plans developmentally appropriate instructional activities for preschoolers, with an emphasis on social emotional learning and enrichment.
Provides activities that assist students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, and social growth
Maintains order within the classroom and school with proactive classroom management and a well-organized learning environment
Identifies, develops, selects, and modifies instructional plans and materials to provide access to appropriate learning experiences within the enrichment curriculum
Communicates and coordinates instruction with classroom support staff
Collabrates with classroom preschool teacher to support students with diverse learning needs, includiong preschool students with disabilities and English language learners
Stays abreast of current educational trends and best practices as these relate to preschool classroom instruction
Maintains professional manner when interacting with students, parents, patrons, community agencies and colleagues
Incorporates and models appropriate use of technology to support instruction and student learning
Willing to travel between schools to provide instruction to students daily
Willing to serve as a reliable CLASS observer and maintain reliability status
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
A valid teaching license with an endorsement in elementary/early childhood education or early childhood special education is required.
Additional Information
Minimum annual starting salary: $55,897 Bachelors, $58,581 Masters, Doctoral $61,393.
