Description The Parkway School District Department of Human Resources is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Facilities for the 2025-2026 school year.

The purpose of this position is to lead the facilities department, which includes planning and managing the personnel, goals, and action steps for the custodial, maintenance, planning & engineering, construction, grounds, environmental services, and warehouse departments of the Parkway School District. Successful candidate will lead the facilities department on all operational initiatives; lead the work to solve existing facility needs including improvements; and plan for future facility requirements for personnel, materials, and construction.

Successful candidates will possess:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred with emphasis in facilities planning, maintenance, construction
  • outstanding skills in written and verbal communications
  • strong decision-making, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • minimum of 10 years of related experience with progressively higher levels of supervisory responsibilities and managing plant/facility operations
  • experience leading multiple and complex projects
  • substantial experience in the administration of a large budget, including purchasing and procurement
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a diverse workforce
  • working knowledge of large building maintenance, equipment, and systems
Job responsibilities include direct and daily supervision of planning & engineering, maintenance, construction, custodial & grounds, environmental services, and warehouse departments, and, in turn, the indirect supervision of all facility department employees. Must also work in a collaborative manner with the Executive Director of Operations, Superintendent’s Action Team, Board of Education, and all Parkway administrators.

Minimum Salary - $114,000
12 Month Working Contract
