The Cumberland Valley School District is seeking a day to day substitute high school FCS teacher. This position will be responsible for teaching High School Family and Consumer Science including foods and textiles classes. A high-level or secondary Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Family and Consumer Science is required. Prior experience as a Middle or High School FCS teacher is preferred. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the physical and psychological aspects of secondary school aged children and good communication skills. Must understand and be able to teach the approved curriculum. The professional candidate(s) selected for this assignment understands and agrees that they may be required to teach in a blended or online format as requested by administration.

If hired for employment, the applicant must be able to submit the following:
  1. Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
  2. PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
  3. FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
  4. TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
  5. Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)
