General Statement of Duties
This vacancy is open until filled. Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor - Grounds Equipment - Small Equipment Shop . Supervisor will manage the C&M Small Equipment shop. This shop is responsible for repairs to lawn care and custodial equipment utilized at over 72 campuses within Henrico County. This position supervises staff to work efficiently and manage workflow and expenses for entire repair shop.
Essential Duties
Performs maintenance repairs on heavy or small lawn cutting equipment such as adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts
Makes emergency repairs to equipment in the field in order to keep it operating at the job site
Manages workflow and supervises staff for landscape and custodial repair technicians
Diagnoses equipment failures and performs electrical repairs
Keeps records and inventory of supplies
Instructs personnel in the proper operating procedures of equipment
Performs maintenance repairs of all shop equipment and manages shop tool inventory
Provides guidelines and operating procedures for workflow assignments
- Attends work daily and be engaged and on task
- Performs overtime work on a scheduled, unscheduled, routine or emergency basis, as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or trade school and three years of related experience as a skilled mechanic. Possession of a valid Virginia state driver’s license in good standing. Knowledge of methods, tools, and materials of equipment repair; skill in the maintenance commercial grounds equipment and small engines and custodial repair equipment.
Additional Information
This position is open until filled. The minimum salary is $45,599.38/year or $21.92/hour or based on the internal promotion policy.
