General Statement of Duties
This posting is recruiting for two (2) full-time Custodial Workers at Highland Springs High School. Positions are open until filled. Assigned shift will be 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., M - F, during school year. Summer hours are M - Thurs (7 am - 5:00 pm). Minimum $15.06/hour.
Essential Duties
Scrubs and rinses floors in assigned areaDamp mops a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, library, halls, stairs, cafeteria, kitchens, locker rooms and mechanical equipment rooms)Dusts a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, stage, library, halls, gym floors, and cafeteria)Sweeps shops, stairs and entrance areas, locker room, bleachers, sidewalks, hallsCleans and scrubs restrooms completelyDusts rooms, offices, furniture and cupboards and removes cobwebsEmpties and washes garbage cansAttends work daily and be engaged and on taskPerforms overtime work on a scheduled, unscheduled, routine or emergency basis, as assignedPerforms other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Grade school completion. Knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment economically and efficiently; ability to follow simple oral and written directions. Good physical condition required. Ability to work at high altitudes using scaffolds, ladders, etc.
