Description

The Cumberland Valley School District, a leader in public education in Pennsylvania, seeks a highly qualified candidate for the STEM Supervisor. The successful candidate will assist the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in improving academic achievement and quality of instruction for all District elementary and secondary students by providing leadership and assistance in the areas of curriculum development and implementation, professional development, and assessment. In addition, the successful candidate will provide leadership for the district’s Agriculture, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Science departments.

Applicants must have a Principal or Supervisory certification and a Master’s degree. A background in Science, Mathematics, or Technology education is preferred.

While candidates can present themselves with a variety of backgrounds, all must possess either a Pennsylvania supervisory certification or a Principal K-12 certification. Cumberland Valley is looking for a proven instructional leader who can demonstrate success in the following areas:

  • Master’s degree;
  • Five (5) years of successful classroom teaching;
  • Demonstrated instructional leadership;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement long-range plans and employ systems thinking practices;
  • Strong background and understanding of STEM subjects;
  • Strong background in PA academic standards and assessment anchors;
  • Effective communication skills in the areas of speaking, writing, and listening;

If hired for employment, the applicant must be able to submit the following:
  1. Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
  2. PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
  3. FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
  4. TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
  5. Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)
