Position: 12 months 8 hours
Status: Exempt

Closing Date: 2/16/2025

Starting Pay: $66,786 (and up depending on experience)

Essential Job Functions:
Under the direction of the Manager of Planning and Construction, this position’s primary function is to manage all aspects of construction projects throughout the district and assist as needed on other construction project functions. Assignments include inspecting all manner of construction work to ensure that the completion of construction projects is within construction drawings, specifications, and district standards. Provides technical guidance to contracted design teams, general contractors, construction management teams and others involved in construction projects. Provides assistance to the “Project Manager – Architect” and assists the Manager of Planning and Construction in long range facilities planning for the Facilities division to support the Project Parkway goals. Communicate and collaborate with school administrators with the goal of minimizing the impact of construction projects on students and staff. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED
  • Prefer a degree in construction management or similar facility operations degree
  • Alternatively, minimum five (5) years demonstrated excellent job performance in the management field in various types of commercial building and building systems design
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be familiar with schools, school administrators, and support functions
  • Must be familiar with word processing, spreadsheets, and maintenance management, specification authoring, and document management software (prefer Microsoft Word, Excel, Bentley MicroStation, NFPA and ICC codes, Google Workspace, work order systems, SpecLink and Interneer)
  • Able to prioritize duties in a changing environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to physically move throughout the District buildings and campuses
  • Able to pass thorough background investigation
  • Able to understand and communicate clearly in English for all job-related duties and response to safety emergencies
