Girls Varsity Soccer Coach
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for organizational matters regarding the Girls Soccer program
2. Responsible for items such as maintaining close communication with the Athletic Director, team’s Boosters organization parents and alumni, etc.
2. Adhere to the Code of Conduct for Coaches to be established by the athletic department and know and understand the rules in the Student Handbook as it pertains to student-athletes
3.Monitor players’ academic standing.
4. Work closely with the guidance department regarding colleges that are of interest to team members. Establish relationships with college coaches and preparatory school representatives.
5. Recommend selection of assistant coaches to the Athletic Director for final confirmation by the Principal, and evaluate coaches within the program
6. Participate in Dual County League meetings and conferences and stay abreast of changes in rules and regulations in MIAA and Dual County League and High School Federation
7. Work with school administration, nurses, and trainer on the physical and emotional well-being of student-athletes.
8. Assume responsibility for school facilities, including locker rooms and gymnasiums, and keep inventory of lacrosse equipment and supplies.
9. Responsible for successful communication with players, parents, boosters, and youth organizations.
10. Responsible for appropriate communication via multiple social media to promote team and individuals.
11. Monitor, train and evaluate all assistant and sub-varsity coaches in the program and report this progress to the Director of Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. A minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a head coach in educational settings OR at least five (5) years of successful experience as an assistant coach in an educational setting.
2. CPR and First Aid certified.
3. Knowledge of care, use, and selection of equipment.
