Per Diem Audiologist

Great opportunity at MSK! The Speech & Hearing Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center treats inpatients and outpatients with a range of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders resulting from a range of diagnoses and etiologies.

We are seeking a Per Diem Audiologist for our Audiology Service. Join us!

Role Overview:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational duties for both inpatient and outpatient pediatric and adult referrals to the Speech, Hearing, and Rehabilitation Center, and administrative tasks associated with Audiology Service.
  • Maintain the standards of clinical care and professional and research activities outlined by the Professional Service Board and Joint Committee on Accreditation of Hospitals.
  • Conduct audiological assessments on adult and pediatric patients receiving cancer-related treatments that affect hearing and balance.
  • Establish schedules and priorities to ensure workflow is controlled and meets the needs of the department and completes required paperwork/communication tools for the department.
  • Perform various supervisory tasks to contribute to the smooth operations and workflow of the department.
  • Collaborate with the Audiologistto develop plans and programs for the Speech and Hearing service to ensure quality patient care.
  • Prepare and maintain proper documentation as required.
  • Responsible for maintenance of equipment and recommendations for the purchase of new departmental equipment.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Audiology with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • New York State Licensure in Audiology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Additional Information:

  • Location: main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, in NYC
  • Schedule: Per Diem as needed; hours available Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
  • Reporting to Senior Manager, Hospital Operations, Dept. of Surgery

Pay Range: $55/hr.
