The Music Department is seeking CURRENT MILWAUKEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS STUDENTS to assist in the cleaning, repairing, and inventorying of music instruments at Central Services. Students will work under the supervision of the Instrument Specialist to ensure that all musical instruments are ready for rental during the 2025-26 school year.
Part-time, seasonal. 10-20 hours per week to be worked on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and must be available 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Must be available June 16, 2025 to June 27, 2025 AND August 4, 2025 to August 29, 2025. Full schedule will be provided.
Wage: $15.00 per hour

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Current, Milwaukee Public Schools High School students entering grades 10-12, under the age of 18 for the duration of employment.
- GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Must be available for the schedule stated above.
- Reliable transportation to and from various MPS building sites.
- Enrolled in an instrumental music class in the 2025-26 school year.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Ability to work independently and manage time wisely
Working Environment
Contributes as a team member to an atmosphere which is friendly, cooperative, efficient and professional. Positively represents MPS and the Music Department at meetings and out in the community through respectful and professional communication and interaction.
Responsibilities
- Clean woodwind, brass, and string instruments.
- Check and play/test instruments to ensure that they are in working condition.
- Ensure that all instrument accessories are in the instrument case.
- Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
