Salary Range: $72,137 - $86,564

Essential Functions and Objectives:


Responsible for improving student achievement in elementary mathematics by providing individualized support to schools, leading professional learning communities for teacher leaders and school leaders, and designing and leading district professional learning for teachers. Collaborates within the department to provide thought partnership in embedding Culturally Responsive pedagogy in the development of curricular resources and content-specific coaching of educators across the District for elementary mathematics.


- In partnership with the academics team, develops and facilitates cycles of professional learning in elementary mathematics for the District and its school teams to ensure schools meet measurable student outcomes tied to district priorities, such as rigorous standards-based instruction, culturally responsive teaching, instructional systems and data-driven instruction.

- Facilitates learning cycles across schools, including collaboratively setting learning goals, engaging in observations and coaching participants.

- Models exemplary culturally sustaining practices in secondary mathematics for teacher leaders, such as instructional planning at the unit and lesson level, data meetings and feedback conversations.

- Analyzes district local assessment data and classroom observations and uses it to inform school support.

- Works collaboratively to achieve actionable and observable results at the student level; contributes to a strong team culture grounded in district values and a commitment to excellence and service to schools.

- Supports district curriculum adoption and implementation.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:


- Three (3) plus years of teaching experience in relevant subject areas with at least two (2) years of experience in coaching other teachers.

- Effective time management and organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.

- The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.

- Works collaboratively with others on a team.

- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.



Education Requirements:


- Bachelor's Degree - Education or relevant subject areas

- Master's Degree in Education or relevant subject area, preferred.
