Reporting to the Sr Manager, Accounts Payable, the Manager, Accounts Payable will work within the Source to Pay (STP) team to initially assist in implementing new areas within the Finance, Procurement & Supply Chain (FP&SC) Magenta Services group to develop continuous process improvements, procedure documentation, and reports to achieve industry best practices.

This position will manage and may be responsible for:
•Accounts Payable, including customer vendor relations, AP disbursement which handles all check & electronic disbursements, supplier and internal business partner inquiries,
1099 and tax related matters for SAP/ERP system.
•Developing, implementing and maintainig procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
•Selecting and hiring employees for the above mentioned.
•Training and evaluating employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product.
•Addressing performance issues and makig recommendations for personnel actions.
•Motivating and rewarding employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of AP department including customer service, payment runs and offshore staff. Acts as a liaison and provides leadership for team and area of responsibility. Provides leadership, direction and coaching on specific tasks as well as individual professional development. Ability to see, accounts for, and coaches others in the “big picture” as well as the details. Ability to tie initiatives to corporate goals.
  • Investigate and resources business partner issues/problems and escalations.
  • Primary operational liaison between third-party suppliers, internal business partners and the greater enterprise.
  • Participates in and leads Financial Operations initiatives related to Accounts Payable.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Education:

  • Associate's Degree Business, Finance (Preferred)

Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years Accounts Payable Experience with annual disbursements >$10B.
  • 4-7 years Direct supervisory experience.
  • Managing Offshore Staff (OSP), Large ERP AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience preferred.
