Salary: $18.29 per hour

About this job:


Ready for 202X Student facilitators will support planning and implementation for Ready for 202X - a 5-week program for rising 9th grade students at 3 DPS Locations. The program focuses on high school culture and expectations, self exploration, relationship building, goal setting, postsecondary exploration and academics. Before starting the program students will work closely with the Site Leader to prepare for the program including lesson/activity planning, contacting students/families to promote the program and preparing for implementation. During the program, the Student Facilitators will interact daily with Ready for 202X students as they engage in the program at the direction of their site leader.

What You'll Do:

  • Support instructors and counselors in auxiliary capacity with classroom instruction
  • Support in chaperoning field trips
  • Participate in Student Panels for Q&A sessions for Ready for 202X participants
  • Provide academic support to students during instruction
  • Facilitate Social Emotional Learning and Extracurricular/Elective courses
  • Engage in responsibilities to implement high quality resources and programming.
  • Maintain open communication with colleagues and program specialists.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to prepare educational materials, which may include classroom material, district-wide resources and social media content.
  • Develop an understanding of the education philosophy of Denver Public Schools and the goals to engage and inspire teacher participation, youth and community engagement.
  • Other projects, as assigned.

  • Must be a current DPS High School Student.
