Job Description Summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a fellowship-trained Movement Disorders Neurologist to join the Movement Disorders Division of the Department of Neurology (rank commensurate with experience). The successful candidate will have expertise in clinical evaluation of movement disorders, DBS electrophysiology, DBS programming. The Movement Disorders Division is a vibrant program with a busy clinical practice, active research center, and much collaboration across campus. Two Nurse Practitioners, a clinical Nurse coordinator, and three research coordinators support the MUSC Movement Disorders Program.

(Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous) Ability to hear and understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet. Must be able to maintain bi-lateral hand movement skills. (Continuous) Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. (Continuous) Ability to be qualified physically (by medical personnel) for respirator use, initially and annually.
