Job Description
The Patient and Family Liaison reports to the Patient Experience Manager. Under general supervision, the Patient and Family Liaison works with patients and their families to address concerns or special needs that may arise during their course of treatment. This role acts as an intermediary between hospital departments, administration and the patient/family to bring about the most effective healthcare treatment and positive hospital experience.
A high school diploma and 3 years relevant experience or a bachelor's degree and one-year relevant experience in service recovery for healthcare, public health or human services. The successful candidate will have the ability to build relationships, to communicate information verbally and in writing in an effective and empathetic manner, in addition. must have the ability to remain calm in the event of a crisis. Incumbent will work independently as well as collaborate within and across departments. The ability to multitask and strong organizational skills is a must.
