Job Description Summary

As a 340B Oversight Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing Program regulations. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, including monitoring drug procurement, eligibility verification, routine auditing and ensuring compliance. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the financial integrity and compliance of the organization, while also optimizing patient care and access to affordable medications.

Job Description

  • 340B Program Management: Manage all aspects of the 340B Drug Pricing Program, including program implementation, maintenance, and expansion. Keep abreast of program guidelines, policies, and changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor adherence to 340B program requirements, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify any potential areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Eligibility Verification: Implement processes for verifying patient eligibility for 340B drug discounts. Collaborate with relevant departments to maintain accurate patient records and identify any potential discrepancies or eligibility issues.
  • Drug Procurement and Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement and inventory management of 340B eligible drugs. Monitor drug utilization, pricing, and inventory levels to ensure compliance with program regulations and optimize cost savings.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit required reports to appropriate entities, such as HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) and auditors. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to the 340B program, including policies, procedures, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Training and Education: Provide education and training to healthcare providers, pharmacists, and other relevant staff members regarding 340B program regulations, policies, and best practices. Stay informed about changes in the industry and proactively share updates and recommendations.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Apexus 340B ACE certified preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
