Job Description Summary
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing, and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The Charge Nurse assists the Nurse Manager/Director with unit operations and management duties as assigned.Entity

Job Description
Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Identifies expected outcomes for patients' individualized treatment plan.Additional Job Description
Education: Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing
Experience: At least one year of clinical experience as a staff nurse
Licenses/Certificates: RN Licensure in South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement
AHA BLS Certification
