Job Description
Under the direction of a physician, administers various sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders. Education: Minimum qualifications include graduation from a program approved by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) or a successor accrediting authority. Credentialed as a Certified Polysomnographic Technician by the board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist OR eligible to take the advanced practitioner examination administered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technology. Successfully passes Registered Polysomnographic Technology exam within 18 months of hire date required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider required.
