Job Description
Summary: The Multimodality Technologist (X-ray) at MUSC plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. This position involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including X-rays, as well as assisting with other modalities such as CT scans and MRI scans. The Multimodality Technologist ensures accurate imaging results while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray imaging procedures following established protocols and physician orders.
- Operate X-ray equipment and ensure proper positioning of patients for accurate imaging.
- Assist with other imaging modalities such as CT scans and MRI scans as needed.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.
- Provide compassionate care to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain the highest standards of imaging quality and safety.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- ARRT certification in Radiography.
- Additional certification in CT or MRI is preferred.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- BLS certification required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Additional Job Description
