Job Description Summary
Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory testing on all types of blood and body fluids specimens. Insures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to precise performance of preventative maintenance, calibration, and quality control. Maintains records and statistical data according to regulatory requirements. Troubleshoots instrument and test methodology problems and notifies appropriate individuals of issues and resolutions. Teaches laboratory policies and procedures to new employees and students. Assists as needed in all areas of the laboratory to maintain appropriate patient care.Entity

Job Description
**$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS **
Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Performs quality control and assurance procedures. Records lab results in specified system. Follows all required HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.
Additional Job Description
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Degree must be in Medical Laboratory Science or one of the biological or chemical sciences. Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory program preferred.
Experience: One to two years experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred
Licenses/Certificates: Certification as a laboratory professional by ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW preferred
