Primary Purpose:

Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of all student information software. Facilitate a secure and functioning environment for the use and storage of student data and state-level reports. Coordinate with school staff and administrators to ensure accurate data for local use and state reporting.

Essential Duties:

  • Facilitates the collection of school-based state-required data (GTID, Student Record Data Report, Pre-ID Labels, Class Size and any other reports that may arise) and transmits this data to GaDOE
  • Creates batch files and/or queries as needed to extract required data
  • Assists in coordinating, implementing, maintaining, and updating all student data software
  • Manages the GTID/GUIDE system, Online Registration, CheckMate, and SIS User Security
  • Supports district office needs for use and access to student and other administrative software data including developing procedures for data exchange with all programs and applications needed by district office staff for compliance with state and federal agencies and needs for improvement of student achievement
  • Coordinates efforts with all administrators to ensure that data sent to the state are accurate and timely
  • Assists with coordinating training for Infinite Campus modules such as enrollment, scheduling, and state reporting
  • Writes, troubleshoots, and modifies SQL queries to extract, update, and verify data from the SIS
  • Collaborates with all other technology specialists on an as needed basis
  • Assists, when needed, in the selection, installation and start-up of educational technology systems and equipment as it relates to student information services
  • Coordinates with the Network Administrator regarding installation, configuration, and maintenance of student information servers including experience with sequel servers
  • Designs and develops custom extracts and reports while maintaining accurate and confidential data files
  • Assists with emergency service calls for Infinite Campus
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with state and federal student data reporting
  • Minimum of three years of experience with Infinite Campus
  • Three years of experience in software programming, with at least one year of sequel programming experience
  • Minimum of two years of college coursework in computer information systems
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college/university (preferred)
  • SQL Certification
  • Exhibits a professional attitude and demeanor at all times in dealing with the BOE, school administration, fellow employees, parents, students, and community

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of ethical, legal, and professional policies and laws concerning area of responsibility
  • Possesses personal characteristics and professional competencies to work successfully with end users, administrators, and Director of Student Services
  • To provide leadership for the planning, development, implementation, coordination, and support, of all schools
  • Ability to create queries and/or programming using a sequel database
  • Experience in software programming
  • Proficient in the use of Infinite Campus, Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with personal characteristics of integrity, accountability, and dependability
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments
