Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technician is responsible for assisting surgeons and other nursing staff in preparation and performance of surgical procedures by processing and furnishing sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment and services for the care and treatment of patients.

Additional Job Description

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent with specialized training in surgical processes, anatomy, instrumentation and/or equipment through an accredited school of Surgical technology or appropriate training program for surgical technology through the United States military or the United States Public Health System.  Certification required

Experience:  One to two years of operating room technician experience preferred.

Licensures/Certifications:  Current CPR certification; Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required
