Job Description Summary

Coordinates general administrative, business management and/or support activities. Performs or supervises the performance of activities related to fiscal management, personnel management, procurement, supply services, auxiliary services, etc. Develops and monitors compliance with annual budgets; consults with program personnel regarding the availability of funds and preparation of funding requests. Conducts confidential investigations and complex special assignments; prepares and maintains specialized records and reports. Establishes and provides consultation on administrative policies and procedures. Coordinates personnel activities for the division, department or facility; serves as resource person on personnel policies and procedures.

Job Duties (list job tasks)

  • Rider/Sponsor Recruitment:
    • Assist with develop and implement a comprehensive rider recruitment strategy.
    • Cultivate relationships with past participants, sponsors, community leaders, and cancer-related organizations to enhance recruitment efforts and foster long-term engagement.
    • Meet in person with prospects to solicit participation (riders, corporate teams, sponsors)
    • Work strategically and in conjunction with the Development Team and Lowvelo Manager on sponsorship solicitation plans and execution.
  • Rider Stewardship and Training:  
    • Assist with oversight of the rider registration process, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for participants. Collaborate with the HCC Communications team/Central Development to streamline the process and resolve any issues.
    • Assist with establishing relationship and rider goals with organization Champions to ensure positive recruitment result.
    • Assist with developing relationships with individual riders and help identify rider profile stories.
  • Operations Management:
    • Assist with developing and maintain comprehensive spreadsheets that track development, event production, vendor payments, etc.
    • Manage all vendor relationships between HCC, MUSC Events and logistics company with regards to quotes, contracts and payments.
    • Assist in the development and management of the event budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize recruitment outcomes.
    • Track and analyze recruitment metrics, participant demographics, and fundraising progress. Generate regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify areas for improvement.
    • Document communication and progress with each relationship/organization.
    • Develop reports to track success, create and distribute weekly progress reports and strategic plans/forecasting. 

Additional Job Description

A high school diploma and four years relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services; or a bachelor's degree and two years experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.
