Job Description

  • Upon receipt of referral from the MUSC Physicians Primary Care offices or other specialties, schedules infusion appointments for multiple sites.  Communicates appointment information to include appointment date, time and location to the patient.
  • Act as a liaison for multiple infusion sites and patients to ensure appointment access with appropriate site. This role triages patient and office staff calls according to established protocol, answers questions, resolves issues and refers to appropriate departmental contact as needed.
  • Provides assistance to Financial Counselor with referrals from MUSC Physicians office staff and physicians when needed.
  • Performs routine and advanced clerical duties. Answer multi-line telephone, handling calls appropriately. Maintain different reports and excel spreadsheets. Critically think in order to solve issues regarding patient referrals, authorizations and appointments.
