Job Description
Job Summary/Purpose:
The CT/MRI Dual Registered Technologist reports to the MRI Supervisor. Under general supervision, the CT/MRI Dual
Registered Technologist performs high quality CT/MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging
from neonate through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician.
Minimum Training and Education: Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology and one year of radiologic experience. Must be
registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in (CT) and (MR) within 18 months of hire, and licensed by the
South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. Must be able to produce high quality special imaging with little supervision.
Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be familiar with age specific criteria and MRI safety protocols.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT & MRI). Current
Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA
recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
Work Experience: 1 year of Radiologic experience
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA), and must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date.. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
