Job Description Summary

The Video Urodynamics (VUDS) RN Coordinator will work with patients to provide care for patient undergoing a Video Urodynamic procedure. This position will involve coordinating patient appointments and performing urodynamic testing to assess bladder and urinary functions. The VUDS RN coordinator will work closely with the Urologist to grow this program within Urology to support our patient population.

Job Description

Job Summary/Purpose: The VUDS RN Coordinator coordinates and facilitates entry of patients into the MUSC system, contributes to a plan of care for patients in the Urology clinic utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process and interacts with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results. The UUDS RN Coordinator implements programmatic changes and updates clinical practice based on current research and changes on the age and level of development of patients while considering the needs of the patient's family. As the patient advocate, the VUDS RN Coordinator coordinates the needs of the nursing and technology team members daily, while keeping the patient as the primary focus. This position partners with the RNII to care for individual patients between multi-disciplinary teams to establish patient care plans, provide care coordination and assist with varied responsibilities, such as quality assurance, patient relations, policy setting, training/education, research and community outreach.

Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, no nights or weekends!

Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in a medically complex fetal or neonatal population required. MSN preferred. Experience in care coordination, program development and clinical operations including team building and collaborative working skills essential.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:  ?Licensure as a registered nurse by the SC Board of Nursing or a compact state required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA), BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Redi Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and
