Job Description
The clinical pharmacy specialist will work within our outpatient cardiology clinics, with a focus on patients requiring ventricular assist devices. Their role will be to help optimize patient outcomes, improve patient outcomes, and participate in interprofessional collaboration. This position reports to the pharmacy coordinator on MUSC’s pharmacotherapy clinics and collaborates closely with the clinic’s healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be motivated, possess a wide clinical knowledge base, demonstrate strong communication and time management skills, and be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient patient care.
Additional Job Description
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
