Job Description Summary

**$15,000 Sign on Bonus**
The CT/XRay Dual Registered Technologist reports to the Imaging Director. Under general supervision, the Radiology and CT/XRay Dual Registered Technologist performs high quality Radiology and CT/XRay examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from neonate through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician.



Operates imaging equipment: Radiology and CT/XRay, following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Provides radiographic support for all areas of the Hospital as needed. Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required. Avoids excessive repeated examinations by following guidelines.

Job Description/Summary:
 

The CT, Mammography, or MRI Dual Registered Technologist reports to the Imaging Director. Under general supervision, the Radiology and CT/XRay Dual Registered Technologist performs high quality Radiology and CT/XRay examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from neonate through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician.

Operates imaging equipment: Radiology and CT/XRay following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Provides radiographic support for all areas of the Hospital as needed. Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required. Avoids excessive repeated examinations by following guidelines.

Minimum Training and Education: Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 2 years. Graduate of an AMA approved school or training program, a 24-month approved School of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training (i.e.military), AND be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and CT/XRay Tech. Certification is required in modality area post radiology certification. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology Work Experience: 1 year of Radiologic experienceMust be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA), and must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
