Job Description Summary

Performs moderate and high complexity testing under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager. This position performs routine laboratory testing, quality control testing, general and instrument maintenance, calling of critical and questionable results to appropriate providers, and resulting of test using laboratory information systems. Additionally, this role performs general troubleshooting of instrumentation, communicating technical information to appropriate persons.

Job Description

Provides technical support for laboratory operations. Assembles, configures, and maintains equipment for use in tests and experiments. Operates equipment, mixes chemical solutions, and performs analytical tests as assigned. Records test results and maintains records as instructed. Complies with all safety guidelines

Additional Job Description

Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences including:

  • 24 semester hours of science courses that include:
    • Six (6) semester hours of chemistry
    • Six (6) semester hours of biology
    • 12 semester hours of any combination of chemical or biological sciences
