Job Description Summary

The Reporting Analyst is a vital member of the Office of the CEO- Performance Services. Under indirect supervision, the Principal Reporting Analyst works independently amongst stakeholders and leaders, and across the enterprise to support decision making, strategy, performance improvement, and other key operational goals through valid, relevant, and quality decision support reports, dashboards, and other tools.

This position develops and maintains analytical resources for the MUSC Medical Center to support leadership in strategic decision making and ongoing optimization of organizational performance. This role interacts with the leaders to identify new opportunities for reporting and analysis based on their ability to consult with these stakeholders and determine gaps in leadership’s ability to effectively make decisions.

Additional Job Description

A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (accounting, finance, information systems, statistics, etc.) and one (1) year of related work experience (business intelligence, analytics, report writing) required; or high school or GED and four years of equivalent technical work experience and one (1) year of related work experience (business intelligence, analytics, report writing) required.

Must be able to demonstrate solid analytical skills in terms of ability to identify needed data, analyze the data, and report it in a format that is easily comprehensible to customers.

Strong interpersonal; client relations; fact finding; analytical; project management; presentation and communication (written/verbal) skills are needed. Experience working with analytical, visualization, business intelligence and Epic reporting tools preferred.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and Epic report troubleshooting ability. Impeccable presentation skills and the proven ability to tailor messages appropriately dependent on the specific audience. Proven ability to describe technical solutions to non-technical audiences. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
