Job Description

This position will report to the Infusion Prior Authorization Pharmacy manager and the pharmacy system director for ambulatory infusion. Work with a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to evaluate medication requests, ensuring adherence to guidelines, facilitate and complete the prior authorization process in a timely manner, entry of medication therapy plans into Epic, and communicate to medical teams when needed. The ideal candidate will be motivated, possess a wide clinical knowledge base, possess excellent communication and time management skills, be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients through timely completion of the prior authorizations, follow-through on all assigned tasks, be accountable for assigned work metrics, and a commitment to optimizing medication access for patients.

Additional Job Description

Education: PharmD or RPh, SC pharmacist license in good standing

Previous experience with Epic EMR, Epic therapy plans, infusion medications, and completion of prior authorizations preferred
