Job Description
The Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacist will report to the ambulatory infusion manager, and will provide distributive and clinical pharmacy services primarily to outpatients of the Medical University clinics. This position will address the needs of nursing personnel regarding drug disposition and usage; counsel patients and health care professionals, as needed, by providing general and specific drug information; ensures timely and medically appropriate dispensing of medication to patients for assigned areas; be trained check, and also prepare, hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products in accordance to USP 797 standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team-player, who will support the operation to create success day to day, and have excellent time management and communication skills.
Additional Job Description
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active South Carolina Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure with attempt to register within 60 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
