Job Description Summary

The Workday Analyst III is responsible for evaluating, designing, and executing solutions that maximize the effectiveness of the Workday platform. This position is directly involved in system evaluation and analysis resulting in operational improvements within a supported vertical – Spend, Finance, Payroll, HCM, or Tech.

The candidate should have functional understanding of operational and technical aspects within their area of expertise to independently and effectively, design, troubleshoot and resolve reported system issues. This role must effectively collaborate with customers, peers, technical, and operations staff to assist with solving business problems.

This is a Workday Payroll Operations position (not Spend or HCM).

Preference is for applicant to be in the Charleston, SC area, working a hybrid model.

Job Description

Design, develop, and implement moderately complex technical Workday solutions.

Configure WorkDay based on approved design solutions.

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

Manage and coordinate the implementation of Workday solutions.

Provide technical support and guidance to Workday users.

Stay up to date on the latest Workday features and functionality.

Participate in the Workday community by sharing knowledge and expertise.

Review and resolve support tickets including continuous monitoring of ticket progress and tracking open issues thru resolution.

Acts as the liaison among the stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate business requirements regarding the Workday system.

Performs testing for software upgrades and other pay practice changes.

Drive continuous process improvements within Workday modules.

Additional Job Description

  • 3+ years business operations experience in Procure to Pay, Finance, Payroll, HR, or Information Technology role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of WorkDay sustainment, support, configuration, and implementation experience. 
  • Workday implementation and sustainment experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, finance, HR, accounting, or related field.  Will accept 7+ years’ experience in related field in lieu of degree. 
  • Workday certified or implementation certified from a WD Partner is preferred; or a willingness to attain within 12 months of hire.
  • Background in identifying, designing, testing, and deploying business operations processes, procedures, and best practices.
