Description
Position Title: Chief Academic Officer
Location: Administration Office
Reports to: Superintendent
Job Summary:
To improve academic achievement for all District students by providing leadership and assistance in the areas of curriculum development and implementation, professional development and assessment with a focus on needs related to school improvement plans. This includes the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate, implement, monitor, and manage all district (K-12) educational and instructional programs.
As the Chief Academic Officer, you will:
Develop and Implement Academic Strategies
: Lead the design and execution of innovative curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices that improve student achievement.
Foster a Culture of Excellence and Equity
: Promote inclusivity and equitable access to high-quality education for all students.
Strengthen Leadership and Collaboration
: Support principals, teachers, and staff in implementing best practices and achieving district goals.
Leverage Data to Inform Decisions
: Use data analytics to identify strengths, address challenges, and continuously improve student outcomes.
Cultivate Community Partnerships
: Work collaboratively with families, community stakeholders, and local organizations to enhance educational opportunities and support student success.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A demonstrated record of improving academic outcomes, particularly in urban settings.
Deep knowledge of curriculum development, instructional best practices, and assessment strategies.
Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide a diverse team.
A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, focusing on closing achievement gaps.
A passion for innovation and the ability to think strategically and implement change.
Salary Range/Benefits: I
n accordance with the Act 93 Agreement - (Range A) Starting at $131,316
