Job Description Summary

Business Manager/Financial Analyst needed to stay up to date with policy, pricing, and payor regulations related to hearing aids and other implantable hearing devices, as well as negotiate with hearing aid companies regarding pricing, contracts, etc. This position will also communicate/negotiate with payors regarding hearing aid reimbursement and provide general business management for hearing aid and other audiology services.

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • 25%: Stays up to date with policy, pricing, and payor regulations related to hearing aids and other implantable hearing devices (e.g. cochlear implants). Communicates/negotiates with payors regarding hearing aid reimbursement. Negotiates with hearing aid companies regarding pricing, contracts, etc. Reviews hearing aid pricing related to market and payor trends. Investigates and resolves invoicing and 3rd party funder matters in collaboration. Communicates issues/ discusses resolutions with the Director of Audiology, the Vice Chair for Finance and Administration for the department, and the Business/Finance Manager for the department.
  • 25%: In collaboration with the Director of Audiology, the Vice Chair for Finance and Administration for the department, and the Business/Finance Manager for the department, is responsible for developing and monitoring budgets, finding opportunities to maximize revenue, and controlling program costs.  Provides forecasts and variance analysis as required. Tracks and reports KPIs related to hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other audiology services.
  • 20%: Works with patients and payors to gain preauthorization for hearing aids and other implantable hearing devices. Provides financial counseling to patients related to hearing aids and other implantable hearing devices.
  • 20%: Provides general business management for hearing aid and other audiology services. Develops and administers policies and procedures to accomplish to hearing aids and other implantable hearing devices initiatives, including sales of products and services.
  • 10%: Other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and four years professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending. A job-related bachelor’s degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for two years of the required work experience.
